About Pollok House
Built in 1752, the ancestral home of the Maxwell family, Pollok House is a popular wedding venue within the City of Glasgow. Set in a formal walled garden, the house exudes character through it's many varied rooms.
The Pavilion Library is home to the famous El Greco masterpiece and a wonderful venue for ceremonies and receptions. Throughout the house paintings by many other spanish artists adorn the walls, as well as works by the English poet and artist - William Blake.
The park in which the house is set also offers the Burrell Collection, one of the greatest collections acquired by a single person, and many outdoor activities - or the perfect place to just take a stroll in the park.

Directions
The Glynhill is located just off Junction 27 of the M8 Motorway, and easily accessible from Pollok House.
From Pollok House follow the B769 to it's junction with the M8 at Helen Street, leave the M8 at Junction 27.
Follow the road and turn around at the first roundabout, following signs for Renfrew and the Glynhill Hotel.
